Rev. Tommy Bridges

Senior Pastor

Tommy and Lynn like calling North Carolina home...but more than that, they like calling Fellowship Baptist their church home! Sharing life together for almost 40 years, they have raised 3 sons, worked with college students, and led churches in the mountains and at the coast in spiritual growth and in mission outreach both stateside and overseas.

After graduating from NC State and Meredith College, Tommy and Lynn served in university ministry (CRU) for 20 years and then served in 2 churches (Asheville, NC and Wilmington, NC) for the past 19 years. Thankful for these years of partnering together with others in ministry, Tommy is excited about the adventure ahead as the Fellowship Family links hearts with the purpose of enjoying and growing in their relationship with Jesus and in reaching out with God’s love to our community.

Currently Tommy and Lynn enjoy the simple things in life like spending time with their three sons and their wives and their granddaughter. They are refreshed by a beautiful sunset, a hike through the woods, good conversation and food with friends, and by doing life together with their church family!

Mike LaBrose

Worship and Music Pastor

Music has always played an important role in Mike’s life. He has a love for a wide-range of music genres from the classic Handel’s Messiah, to the southern gospel music style like Bill Gaither, to more modern worship bands including Casting Crowns, Elevation, and Hillsong. Over the years, Mike has participated in choirs, quartets, musicals and solo performances. He has had the opportunity to travel the East Coast with the Southernaires gospel choir ministering to churches large and small. He enjoyed performing in and directing the Easter musical, The Witness, for more than 20 years. Mike also performs Handel’s Messiah with the Hudson and South Caldwell High School chorus alumni choir every other Christmas.

Mike has served as the Minister of Music and Worship at Fellowship for the past 16 years. Prior to serving at Fellowship, Mike served in ministry at a non-denominational church for 20 years.

Fellowship offers many opportunities to worship through music ministry including the Adult Choir, Praise Team & Band, Soloists, Drama Team, Dowel Rod Team, and the Children’s Choir. The Audio/Video Ministry also plays an important role in the success of our music ministry. If you have a desire to share your talent in any area of music ministry, we welcome you at Fellowship.

Mike is an agent for Farm Bureau Insurance in Lenoir and serves the citizens of Caldwell County as a County Commissioner. Mike and his wife, Ellen, have been blessed with 3 beautiful daughters, 3 son-in-laws, and five grandchildren.
